Patients (current, past and future) - I want to take a few moments to thank you. Thanks for teaching me something new everyday. Thanks for sharing your stories and yourselves so that I may continue to help others.

From each of you I learn not only many life lessons to share with others, but also more about the human body and how things show up different in each one of you. I want to thank you for being open with me, for understanding that sometimes we get it right on the first try and other times we have to keeping trying to find the right combinations.

I want to thank you for doing the hard work. I know my treatment plans are not always the easiest to follow, but you all put your best into them and as a result we are getting what we are looking for.

I want to thank you for making me laugh, for bringing tears to my eyes and for allowing me to be a part of your healing process. When I started naturopathic medical school I did not fully understand what I was getting into. I knew this form of medicine made sense to me, but I did not know to what extent each one of you and naturopathic medicine, in general, would change me.

I challenge you to continue to ask me questions, continue to share your experience and know that your experience is helping someone else. To the patients who hold the mirror up to me, so that I may more clearly see myself, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

May we all take time out this holiday season to thank the people in our lives and to honor where we have come from.
