One of my favorite immune boosting drinks is the Garlic Oxymel. I have several versions of this wonderful drink, and have found that the different versions all work well. Several years ago, I posted a blog on one of the garlic oxymel recipes, and now I want to share another version of this immune boosting, cold and flu fighting, drink. Especially since we are getting more into the cold and flu season.

This version of the garlic oxymel is made in a single teacup. I often drink it and then will remake it in the same teacup the next time. This is usually about 10-15 minutes after I have finished the first glass.

Ingredients:
•2 cloves of raw, fresh garlic.
•1-2 teaspoons of honey, or to taste.
•1-2 teaspoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, or to taste.
•Cayenne pepper.
•Hot water.

Instruction:

Peel the 2 cloves of garlic and smash it in the bottom of the teacup. Fill the teacup with hot water, and add the lemon and honey to taste. Cover the top of the tea with cayenne pepper. Stir well, and drink.

This can be a very strong version. Thus, I often recommend that patients eat something starchy when they are drinking. Especially if they have any GERD, or acid reflux, issues.

There are many different versions of the garlic oxymel recipe. Use the one that works for you, and know that all of them will give you benefits and support.
