Sunscreen time, however they're not all the same. Read on.

It is that time of year when we are going to be outside in the sun more. We need to remember to protect our skin, our bodies, and stay well hydrated in this heat. As always, the Environmental Working Group has come out with their list of the cleanest sunscreens on the market. Please take the time to look at this list, and update your sunscreen supply.

As with all cosmetics, sunscreens do have expiration dates. Please check to make sure that your sunscreen is still good from last year before you just start applying it. Our skin is the largest organ of the body, and it breaths in, communicates with, and absorbs whatever we put on it. I know when I am looking for sunscreens that I want something that is light feeling, and not greasy as well as something that is going to stay put. I don’t like sunscreen in my eyes as I sweat out in the sun for example.

Remember, when applying sunscreen to apply often, and dont forget about the sensitive places such as the tops of your feet, parts in your hairline, and of course your ears. All of these places burn rather quickly as they are not exposed to sun all that frequently. Please know, however, that some sun is good, but within reason. This is all just to remind you to avoid sunburns as they are more serious, and have more serious implications, than most people realize. So go out, and get a newer EWG recommended sunscreen this weekend.
